HEY THERE, I’M RUTH!
And just like you, I wear a lot of different hats. I’m an author, podcaster and product creator. I’m a busy wife and mama, a small business owner, a daughter, sister and friend, and the founder of Ruth Soukup Omnimedia.
I originally started this company in 2010 as more of a creative outlet than anything else. As the mom of two toddlers, I was desperate to get my home and budget under control, and I found that writing about my own journey of trying to live well and spend less gave me the much-needed accountability that I needed to create real change in my life.
As it turns out, it was a journey that resonated with so many others, and over the years our community has grown to more than 1 million women worldwide, while this company has grown far beyond my wildest dreams.
These days our mission is pretty simple–to help you create a life you LOVE by providing practical tools & resources, along with the motivation to actually use them.
Living Well Spending Less® is founded on the idea that running our homes, caring for our families, managing our budgets, achieving our dreams, and CRUSHING our goals shouldn’t have to be overwhelming.
We provide practical solutions for overwhelm at home through simple recipes and meal planning ideas, time management tips, financial advice, and much more. Our goal is to help our readers spend less time on the things they have to do, so they have more time to reach their goals and achieve their dreams.
The Living Well Shop is a place dedicated to eliminating overwhelm in the daily lives of women. With our signature product, The Living Well Planner™, our goal is to inspire you to be the wife, mom, daughter, friend and PERSON you want to be, every single day.
We know you’ve got a lot of balls in the air and all of them are important. Our goal is to help you be intentional when planning your day, crushing your goals, caring for your family, and more. We offer you the best way enact change and eliminate overwhelm in your everyday life! And not only that, we want to help you make this transformation a lasting one.
At our blogging school, Elite Blog Academy, we provide practical solutions for overwhelmed entrepreneurs who are looking for a comprehensive framework to help them establish a successful, profitable online business.
Through both these audiences, we inspire and equip a global community of nearly a half-million women on a weekly basis, creating tools and resources to help them get where they most want to be. In short, we help people live their dreams and grow their businesses by removing the obstacles that stand in their way.
And we LOVE what we do!
We believe that the secret to eliminating overwhelm is creating simple but effective systems that can be easily implemented. We create impact in women’s lives by sharing these systems, as well as providing the motivation and inspiration to make them work.
Whether you are a mom, small business owner, or blogger, we want every woman we work with to feel empowered to make a difference in her world.

MEET OUR TEAM
With a community of more than one million monthly readers, this business has blossomed far beyond what I could possibly manage all on my own.
Thankfully, I don’t have to, because I have these amazingly dedicated and talented people by my side. There might be bigger companies out there, but I promise you will not find a better team anywhere on earth!
LWSL Board of Directors President
Chuck is my amazing husband, the stay-at-home dad to our two beautiful girls, the packer of lunches, overseer of homework, master of laundry stains, and daily runner of a gazillion errands. In addition to sitting on the LWSL Board of Directors and helping with bookkeeping, he is the one who keeps me balanced and sane. We would be lost without him.
Chief Operations Officer
Laura is more or less the other half of my brain & she single-handedly keeps our entire team sane. A true leader to the core–from assisting with customer service to managing requests to organizing events & keeping track of the executive calendar–with grace & positivity. She also leads our team meetings & keeps all team members on track.
Director of Implementation
The first person I ever hired and still joins in on all the LWSL fun! Heather wears many hats including go-to tech girl, project manager and official fixer of all things!
As Creative Director, Jayson works with the design team to help create a consistent look and feel for all our graphics, web design, products, social media, videos, and more!
Over the years Natalie has worn a variety of hats here at LWSL, but none have fit as well as her current one! She is responsible for brainstorming, coordinating, and overseeing the creation of all content for the Living Well Spending Less blog and weekly newsletter, as well as for developing new recipes, formatting posts, and overseeing guest contributors.
LaTrisha helps keep me organized & productive in a seamless and efficient way by handling all the details that might otherwise slip through the cracks. An important part of her role is to help eliminate and remove obstacles, and connect the dots.
